سُورَةُ القَارِعَةِ
Al-Qaari'a
"The Calamity"
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
"بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم"
الْقَارِعَةُ1
"The Striking Calamity -"
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ3
"And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?"
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ5
"And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up."
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ7
"He will be in a pleasant life."
فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ9
"His refuge will be an abyss."
مَا الْقَارِعَةُ2
"What is the Striking Calamity?"
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ4
"It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,"
فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ6
"Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],"
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ8
"But as for one whose scales are light,"
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ10
"And what can make you know what that is?"
