سُورَةُ النَّجۡمِ
An-Najm
"The Star"
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
"بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم"
وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ1
"By the star when it descends,"
وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ3
"Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination."
عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ5
"Taught to him by one intense in strength -"
وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ7
"While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon."
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ9
"And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer."
مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ2
"Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,"
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ4
"It is not but a revelation revealed,"
ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ6
"One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form"
ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ8
"Then he approached and descended"
فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ10
"And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed."
